Emiley is the Chief Operating Officer of Allen & Overy LLP in Singapore and is concurrently the co-Head of Human Resources for Asia Pacific. She is also part of the management team in A&O’s offices across Asia. She is passionate about nurturing talent and looking after staff wellbeing and is one of the Mental Health Advocates for A&O in Asia Pacific.
Emiley has had over 20 years’ experience in the legal industry. She is tri-qualified in Singapore, England & Wales and California, USA. While she practised for several years in first, litigation in Singapore, and then as a transactional lawyer in the US, Emiley has since focused on practice management and has extensive experience in crisis management. Over the years, she has established herself as a trusted partner in the C-suite, and has accumulated expertise in law firm management, particularly managing local operations of a global firm in offices across Asia and the antecedent challenges that arise in such constructs. In the wider legal industry, Emiley has had experience in HR/talent acquisition, finance and operations in Singapore and the UK.
